About BBFI

Established in 1991, the Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization engaged in the conceptualization and implementation of education development programs for its corporate benefactors. It was named after Bato Balani for Science and Technology, a publication of Diwa Learning Systems Inc.

Devoted to help build the Philippine nation’s future through education, BBFI’s programs focus on four major thrusts: teacher development, school development, student development and special involvements. The projects under these thrusts are designed for the foundation’s target beneficiaries who are mainly students, teachers and educators, as well as education and research institutions.

Realizing the need to help in the advancement of Philippine education through the collaborative efforts of schools, the government and the business sector in the academic ecosystem, BBFI’s has consolidated its initiatives under the banner Project PEPE: Promoting Excellence in Philippine Education.
